There is no reference to P2G in any of the UK legislative texts and it is not formally recognized for the UK at this time either by the electricity industry or government as a form of energy storage or means of decarbonisation. It is increasingly and formally recognised though by BEIS as a key part of future planning and technology options for the gas grid in meeting future heat and gas grid decarbonisation objectives
