This regulation is definig the diferent types of cogeneration units:
– under 50 kWel = micro–cogeneration;
– under 1 MWel = small cogeneration unit;
The cogeneration units with a power higher than 1 MWel must permit a 10 % economy in primary energy compared to separate production of heat and electricity. The Ep (primary energy economy index) is calculated in comparison with references cases for the production of heat and electricity.
