Implements the IGF Code. Paragraph 2 of the regulation makes the IGF Code mandatory for new constructions or reconstructions from 1. January 2017. Paragraph 3 defines requirements of "Accepted Equipment", that is requirements of acceptance/consent from the Norwegian Maritime Authority based on approval or type approval from an established classification society, other public or private institution, or State having ratified SOLAS 1974.
